Workforce Development

The Clean Transportation and Energy Program (CTEP) supports the County’s efforts in building a skilled workforce in EVSE planning, installation, maintenance, and operation throughout Los Angeles County. As demand for EV adoption grows, so does the need for technicians, project managers, and support staff who understand the technical, safety, and operational requirements of a modern charging network.

Training in Action

See our workforce development programs in action through hands-on training and real-world installations

Proud CCC Graduates
Two workers wearing safety vests and hard hats labeled “CCC” watch as an instructor demonstrates how to operate an electric vehicle charging station under a white canopy at an outdoor worksite.

On-Site Training

Workers in safety gear observe as an instructor demonstrates electrical installation at a clean energy training session.

Equipment Training

Workers in hard hats and safety vests operate equipment and wheelbarrows during a clean energy project at a facility.

Construction Skills

Workers wearing safety gear and hard hats pour and spread fresh concrete into a long trench beside a brick building, using shovels and a wheelbarrow to fill the area.

Foundation Work

A row of newly marked EV charging parking spaces with green painted symbols sits next to a fenced area and charging stations, with a parked vehicle partially visible in the foreground.

Completed Installation

Workers in safety vests and hard hats gather around a newly installed green EV charging post, while a technician connects wiring at an outdoor worksite.

Installation Demo

Workers wearing hard hats and safety vests spread and level wet concrete inside a long, narrow trench next to a brick building.

Teamwork in Action

Group Instruction

Workers in safety gear collaborate on a clean energy project outside a facility, promoting community engagement in sustainability.

Heavy Equipment Training

Workers in safety vests and hard hats transport concrete in wheelbarrows from a mixing truck, moving along a ramp beside a brick building as part of a construction project.
