Take Charge LIVE! Virtual Community Event on Electric Vehicles

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
February 4, 2026

Take Charge LIVE is a free virtual outreach event hosted as part of the California Energy Commission–funded CHiLL2 Grant, which supports equitable access to electric vehicle (EV) charging in Los Angeles County. The CHiLL2 initiative addresses key barriers to EV adoption, including limited charging infrastructure, cost, regulatory challenges, and lack of consumer awareness, while prioritizing low-income, disadvantaged, and Justice40 communities. Through CHiLL2, Los Angeles County is deploying at least 300 publicly accessible Level 2 charging ports across five sites in East and Downtown Los Angeles, using advanced technologies such as adaptive load management to reduce grid impacts and accelerate deployment. This event complements that effort by providing residents with practical information about EVs, available incentives through Access Clean California, and real-world insights from a local dealership. Join us for a free virtual event offering practical information on electric vehicles and clean transportation resources in Los Angeles County and City. Topics include:

  • EV Basics and range myths
  • Rebates and incentives from Access Clean California
  • Dealership insights for first-time buyers
