Advancing Sustainability Through Strategic Funding
The Clean Transportation and Energy Program has secured competitive grants from local, state, and federal sources as of March 2025. These grants play a critical role in advancing Los Angeles County’s sustainability goals while reducing financial burdens on departments and communities.
Awarded Grants
Funding to develop an implementation plan for fleet electrification and shared mobility services. Includes data collection, geospatial analysis, community engagement, and strategic deployment of EVSE across County-owned sites.
Supports Countywide training initiative focused on EVSE planning, installation, and maintenance. In partnership with Cerritos College, trained 90 participants and provided faculty training at 10 community colleges.
Funds deployment of EV charging infrastructure at public housing sites managed by LACDA. Includes solar-powered Level 2 chargers with battery backup and multilingual outreach campaigns.
Deliver 300 community- and data-driven Level 2 charging stations across public, curbside, and community sites in underserved East Los Angeles through partnerships with LA City, and community-based organizations.
Expands EV charging infrastructure for LA County's internal fleet across six departments. Includes 220 Level 2 chargers and 10 DC Fast Chargers to support Advanced Clean Fleets regulation compliance.
Supports expansion of shared and electric mobility services at LACDA public housing communities. Includes EV shuttle services, e-bike sharing, and workforce training programs. This project is supported by the “California Climate Investments” program.
Funds installation of 47 Level 2 EV chargers at Olive View Medical Center. Includes workforce development pilot with California Conservation Corps and community outreach events.
Partnership with City of LA and Metro to install 18 DC Fast Chargers and 1,263 Level 2 chargers. Expected to create 3,000 high-quality jobs and expand access in Justice40 communities. (In Progress)
